Description: - A Victorian 18ct yellow gold bloodstone signet ring. The signet ring is set with an oval bloodstone, leading to reeded shoulders, and plain shank.

The ring is hallmarked with Birmingham assay office marks, the date letter "w" to denote 1896, and stamped '18' for 18 carat gold.

Period: - Late 19th century.

Date: - 1896.

Maker: - Makers mark of 'B.H.J' for Barnet Henry Joseph.

Engraving: - Unengraved.

Measurement: - UK ring size O 1/2 (leading edge). US ring size 7 1/4 (leading edge). The bloodstone measures 12.0mm (height) x 10.3mm (width).

Weight: - 9.2 grams.
