Description: - A Victorian 18ct yellow gold diamond gypsy ring.
The gold ring is of plain polished form, with a bright and lively old cut diamond of approximately 0.35 carat, set to the centre in a gypsy setting, within a wide tapering yellow gold band.
As was common for the period, the ring is stamped '18' to denote 18 carat gold.
Period: - Late 19th Century.
Date: - Circa 1895.
Maker: - Makers mark of "WGM" for Walter & George Myers.
Engraving: - Unengraved.
Measurement: - UK ring size K 1/2 (leading edge). US ring size 5 1/2 (leading edge). The band measures approximately 7.0mm in width to the front, and 3.5mm to the back.
The diamond measures approximately 4.5mm (diameter).
Weight: - 4.8 grams.
Condition: - The ring is in good condition. Light surface wear commensurate with age. The ring displays evidence of having previously been resized. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
