Description: - An Edwardian sterling silver copy of an Ancient Greek Mycenaean wine cup, by George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, Chester, 1905.

The cup is of round bodied form, with a hand-chased frieze of Mycenaean faces in profile, between upper and lower bands of chased leaf-work, with a scroll handle and matching leaf design, and all sitting on a collet foot.

Assay: - .925 (Sterling Silver).

Date: - Chester, 1905.

Engraving: - Unengraved.

Maker: - George Nathan & Ridley Hayes.

Measurement: - 6.3cm (height) x 14.5cm (length to include handle)  x 11.6cm (bowl diameter).

Weight: - 205.6 grams.

Condition: - The antique wine cup is in good condition. Minor surface scratches, and light rubbing commensurate with age. The wine cup has no engravings or inscriptions. No splits, damage, or repairs. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
