Description: - A pair of Parcel-Gilt Sterling Silver Goblets, by Hector Miller for Aurum, London, 1985. The goblets are numbered 246, and 247, from a limited edition of 500. The goblets are each crafted with a trumpet shaped bowl above a pierced gilded gallery depicting various Saints, Martyrs and Archbishops, specific to Ripon, on a swept foot with rose detail.

The first goblet is engraved to the base:

'NUMBER 246 OF A LIMITED EDITION OF 500 MADE BY ORDER OF THE LORD BISHOP OF RIPON TO COMMEMORATE THE FOUNDATION OF THE DIOCESE IN 1836.', & 'AURUM'.

The second goblet is engraved to the base: 

'NUMBER 247 OF A LIMITED EDITION OF 500 MADE BY ORDER OF THE LORD BISHOP OF RIPON TO COMMEMORATE THE FOUNDATION OF THE DIOCESE IN 1836.', & 'AURUM'.

The goblets can hold approximately 130ml - to the brim.

Condition: - The silver parcel-gilt goblets are in good condition. Minor surface scratches, marks, and tarnishing commensurate with age. Light rubbing in places to the parcel-gilt finish. Please see photographs for confirmation of condition.
