Description: - An early 20th century 0.74cts diamond, & pearl pendant necklace, circa 1905. The chain is joined at the front by an old cut diamond in a crimp collet setting from which are suspended twin chains holding a pendant of foliate form set throughout with mixed cut diamonds, with one pearl in the centre of a leaf formation, completed below with a single diamond and pearl drop.
As was common for the period the pendant & chain are unhallmarked, have been tested, and confirmed to be 14 carat gold, and silver fronted (to the pendant). The clasp on the chain tests as 9ct.
Period: - Early 20th Century.
Engraving: - None.
Measurement: - The necklace measures approximately 15 3/8 inches (39.2cm) end to end. The pendant measures 3.7cm x 2.1cm.
Weight: - 7.3 grams.
Condition: - The diamonds are in good condition. The pearls have good lustre, and are well matched in terms of colour. The clasp closes securely. Very minor surface wear commensurate with age and usage. Minor tarnishing/patina present to pendant. Please note the pearls are untested and unwarranted for natural pearls. Gemstone treatment is unknown. Please see photographs for confirmation of condition.
