Description: A pair of ornate Irish cast sterling silver candlesticks by Royal Irish Silver Ltd, Dublin, 1969, with import marks for The Sheffield Assay Office. The candlesticks are of baluster shape with detailed foliate work on the nozzles and upper knopp, and detachable sconces that match the style of the candlesticks. The columns feature an eight-sided design with shell caps, four individual masks on the lower knopp, and a shaped base adorned with four additional masks on a shell background and stepped detail.
