Description: - A George V Arts and Crafts style sterling silver 'Winchester Bushel' bowl, by George Laurence Connell, Birmingham, 1925. The circular bowl modelled on Henry VII of England's Winchester bushel measure is hand beaten, with handles to each side, hoof style feet, and a raised inscription in Latin around the centre of the bowl: 'E·R ELIZABETH DEI·GRACIA ANGLIAE FRANCIAE HIBERNIA REGINA·E·R E·R 1601', which translates as 'ER ELIZABETH GOD GRACE ENGLAND FRANCE IRELAND QUEEN ER ER 1601'.
