Description: - A 'Man In The Moon' christening cup, by Horton & Allday, Birmingham, 1929. The silver cup is of plain baluster form, sitting on a circular pedestal foot. The handle is crafted in the shape of a crescent moon with a 'Man in the Moon' face. There is a registration number stamped to the moon handle: 'REG 735492'.
The hallmarks are stamped with the makers mark Horton & Allday (partially rubbed), Birmingham assay mark, Lion passant for sterling silver, and date letter 'E' to denote, 1929.
