Description: A George III sterling silver gilt Vinaigrette, crafted by Wardell & Kempson in 1814. This vinaigrette, styled in a watch case form, features engraved foliate decoration and a hinged, pierced foliate scroll grille.

  • Assay: Marked with 'W&K' for Wardell & Kempson, George III duty mark, date letter 'q' for 1814, and lion passant for sterling silver.
  • Period: 19th Century.
  • Measurement: 3.6 cm (height) x 2.8 cm (length) x 1.2 cm (depth).
  • Weight: 16.1 grams.

Condition: The vinaigrette is in good condition with light surface scratches and tarnishing. Hinges for the cover and grille close tightly. See photos for details.
